What is a ductless HVAC System?
The customer specifically wished the ductless HVAC system installation in their two storey house. The systems that involve no ductwork are more flexible, easy to install and maintain. In addition they provide better air quality than the traditional systems. For example, Mitsubishi's ductless AC have an in-built enzyme filter that stops allergens like pet dander and dust mites.A ductless HVAC system is a good solutions for any house in general and the old houses in particular, since the old houses were often build with asbestos. This material is harmless when intact, but in the old buildings it tends to deteriorate within time. Asbestos break in to tiny particles that are easy to inhale. Thus, it can lead to various lung diseases. The ductless HVAC system will eliminate the chance of asbestos inhaling because it does not interfere with the walls (remember, there is no ductwork involved!) and filter the air in case the asbestos is already there. In any case, if you live in the old house, we would recommend to have a professional check-up for asbestos particles.
How do you perform a ductless HVAC System Installation?
The customer desired to split the HVAC system in five zones: three zones upstairs and two downstairs. So, it was necessary to make extremely precise measurements. Our technicians measured all the distances between the house and the fence, how far was the wall and the dryer vent from the future position of the unit.
